Interactive tools

The index planner is the only interactive tool on this site. It performs all calculations locally in your browser using JavaScript. The values you enter — dimensions, row counts, metric, table and column names — are never transmitted, stored, or logged by this site. You can use the tool offline after the page has loaded; there are no network requests when it runs.

Data this site does not collect

• No personal information and no account data.
• No device fingerprinting and no local storage. (Analytics uses first-party cookies; see below.)
• No behavioral profiling and no advertising identifiers.
• No advertising is shown.
• No contents of the tools you use.

Analytics

This site uses Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages are visited and how the site is used in aggregate. Google Analytics sets first-party cookies (for example _ga) and sends usage data — such as the pages you view, an approximate location derived from your IP address, and your device and browser — to Google, which processes it on our behalf. We do not combine it with personal information, and the values you enter in the index planner are never sent to analytics.

You can opt out using your browser's cookie controls, a content or ad blocker, or Google's Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. See Google's privacy policy for how Google handles this data.

Hosting and server logs

This site is served as static files by a hosting provider (Cloudflare). Like virtually all web hosts, the provider may automatically keep standard request logs — such as IP address, user agent, requested URL, and timestamp — for security, abuse prevention, and operational purposes. This site's authors do not use those logs to identify or profile visitors, and no analytics are derived from them. Refer to the hosting provider's own privacy documentation for how it handles such data.

External links

Pages link to external sites, primarily the pgvector repository and other projects. When you follow an external link, you leave this site and the destination site's own privacy policy applies. This site does not embed third-party content, iframes, or tracking pixels.

Children

This is a technical resource for developers. It is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect any information from anyone.

Changes to this statement

If this statement changes — for example, if a feature that requires additional data handling is added — the "last updated" date above will change and the new statement will apply from that date. The current statement reflects the site's use of Google Analytics 4.
